A Wild Friday night!

This past Friday night, we went CRAZY and had a baseboard painting party!  I know, you're jealous aren't you?!

Samuel absolutely wouldn't take no for an answer when we told him,  "No, he couldn't help paint."
So we compromised.

Ya'll be prepared. I'm probably going to post pics of the house for sale.

A Low Key Valentines Day

Since we are trying to sell our house, we went for a low key Valentines day this year.  We spent a lot of it doing some detail cleaning and rearranging.  Then I worked on my National Boards some more.

We both got each other boxes of chocolates.  :-)

Samuel was so good this evening. If I wasn't cleaning, I was working on National Boards and Casey was grilling our special dinner.  Samuel watched a movie on my Kindle while keeping us company.

The Valentine card holder Samuel made in his class.  Because they are all so young in his class, they aren't allowed to have candy or small toys with their Valentines, so we just did some Toy Story cards. He helped write his own name on them! He freaked me out at first when he wrote a symbol that really looked like an S, then he went on to do the typical slashes and scribbles.  I almost called MENSA!

My new case for the Kindle.  That was my Valentine's Day treat.

Casey grilled a steak for me and pork chops for himself.  I made a Caesar salad and garlic mashed potatoes.  It was delicious.

Snow Day 2012

I had to go to work today, so by the time we made it home, the snow was mostly gone.

If you could see his face, you'd see the disappointment.

He searched and searched for edible snow.  There was the tiniest bit on the diving board.

After we circled the pool, he found a little bit more in the lawn chairs.

He and Maddie shared.  Good Lord-I am definitely raising a boy, aren't I?

He saw Maddie lick some out of the little chair outside, so he decided that was a good idea too.  See?  A true boy.

Then we came in and ate the lunch we had packed for school + some cheese puffs.

I accomplished nothing on my National Boards, but I sure did enjoy some Samuel time.

Feetie Pajamies

This winter we've been rockin the feetie pajamas(or pajamies as Samuel says.) I just love them.

Samuel is a wild sleeper and these are one way to guarantee that he stays "covered" up even when his blanket hits the floor at night.

And I figure this may be the last year he'll wear them without protest.

And yes, that is still a pacifier.  He still takes it at night.  I promise I won't let him take it to kindergarten.

Playing with Pop

Today turned out a little differently than we had planned.  Good different, though!

We headed to church like normal, wasn't he handsome?

Then when we got home, Pop came to play before he headed out of town on a business trip!

And he brought ice cream bars!

Pop decided to go ahead and get as much tossing time as he could-Samuel's about to be too heavy to toss.

Then Samuel showed him his new Toy Story room and they did some reading.

I took Pop to the airport and this is what I came home to. Tuckered out.
