A Perfect Day for the Zoo

Casey took a few vacation days this week.  We decided to go to the zoo today.  It was cloudy and only 90 degrees, and there was a cool breeze.

Samuel loved looking at all of the animals.

This past weekend

I went to Sarah's shower Saturday morning, so Casey and Samuel had some fun play time.  When I got home and Samuel woke up from the world's shortest nap, we did some swimming.

Until Samuel was done. And when he's done, we're all done. No matter what.

Sunday afternoon, my dad stopped by on his way home from Greers Ferry.  Samuel loves to play with Pop!

Summer is Finally Here!!!

Thursday was the official last day of school for the kiddos of LRSD.  Samuel goes to Rockefeller, but on the Early Childhood side.  It doesn't close like the Elementary schools do-so he'll be able to go when I have workshops or Dr. appointments.

This Thursday, they had water day.  Samuel was so excited!

I ordered a Superhero cape for him and he LOVED it.  He made Casey run  up and down the hallway with him.

Super Samuel!

Just Hangin Around...

This weekend was a fun, but laid back weekend. All of our friends were out of town, so it was just us.

Samuel got a new keyboard from Zulilly.  He played lots of "songs" for us.

Saturday night, we grilled burgers and corn on the cob.  This was the first time we let Samuel eat it off the cob. He was a fan!

He has also discovered band-aids.  In this picture, he's wearing 2-an Ernie one and a bacon one. As I'm typing this, he's wearing 4-Ernie, Snoopy, and 2 Cars bandaids.  We tried stickers, he seems to know the difference.

What should have been...

Well, today should have been our last day of school...We have another week. UGH!!!

On a lighter note, this awesome cardboard pirate ship I ordered from Zulilly came in today.  It was a booger to put together, but Samuel has already been in it and done some coloring.  Won't it be fun this summer?

Since it was 97 degrees outside today, we had to go swimming again.

Practicing his bubble blowing.

First Swim of the Summer

The pool has been ready for over a week now, but the water has been SO cold!  Not anymore.

They got out to look for a few more pool toys and when the water started dripping, Samuel was convinced he was pee-peeing.  So funny.

Almost from Scratch Cookies

I baked last night.  A miracle. And it was an "almost from scratch" recipe

No, I didn't put them on this book to take their picture, we ate them too fast for pictures.  :-)
