The State Fair

We took Samuel to the State Fair Friday afternoon after we finished school.

It was one of the best times we have ever had. Last year, Samuel was only big enough to ride the Merry Go Round with me holding him.  Not this year.  You had to be 36" tall to ride.  Well, he's 37'.  Just right.

They have a perfect Family section set up with a petting zoo and rides for small people.  We rode almost every one of them.  Several times. :-)

This post has TONS of pictures and you can see how we went from the rides to the petting zoo to the rides back to the petting zoo and so on.

This one was his absolute favorite--the motorcycers.  Nope, that's not a typo-that's how he says it.

This one was fun too.  It went faster than Mommy would have liked,  but he kept saying "WEEEEEE!" when he'd go past us.

We stopped for a minute to eat some greasy fair food. He enjoyed the Grater Taters aka Chips.

Then a few donuts.

We went to the 4H/FFA barn. They always set up good displayw with hands on things for little people.  Samuel got to gather eggs.

And dig potatoes. He kept calling himself "Farmer of the Day. "

Then we went back to the motorcycers.

Casey got brave enough to ride a circular fair ride and rode the Merry Go Round with him.

He also rode the train.

Then back to the motocycers.  :-)

Then he rode the little boats.

Then back to the big boats.

And back to the motorcycers. See--his favorite!!!

The petting zoo had the neatest animals.  They were all so gentle and used to people. Samuel wasn't afraid of any of them.

And one more time on the motorcycers.

Then another trip through the petting zoo on the way to the gate.

We can't wait for next year!
