At the Fair

We went to the fair today.  We got there early enough to beat the crowds.  We never had to wait in line for anything.  And we beat the heat.

We rode the standard kiddie rides and he absolutely loved them again this year.

Then we found this ride.  NASCAR for preschoolers.  It was faster than the other kiddie rides and was a BIG  hit.

Look at that face as the car whipped around the loops.

Pure joy.

Then we headed into the petting zoo.

Yep, he kissed that donkey.  Wouldn't you?  Look at that sweet face.

As we were walking around, one of the carnies challenged him to a sword fight.  He got a kick out of it.  The guy really hammed it up for him.  Super funny.

The FFA barns was a hit again this year. They had these boxes filled with corn, soy beans, and rice.  If you found a big checker in the box, you got a really cute book about agriculture in Arkansas.

My least favorite part of the fair-all the carnies yelling at you to play their games.  But Daddy is a sucker and let Samuel play.  Luckily, they almost always love a sweet toddler and let them win something, so the girl let Daddy play against him.  A guaranteed prize.

Then we went back to the rides.  Seriously, look at his face! I don't know if he could have loved it more.

Some ice cream before heading home for a late nap.
