Not only did we have fun doing Modge Podge, we also did some quality play time at Maw Maw's and Aunt Shan's house.

Cheeburger, Cheeburger
Samuel and I met Shannah and her mom, Marsha, at Cheeburger Cheeburger for a late lunch. Samuel had a great time. There were very few people in there, so Samuel was able to do some exploring and roaming around.

A week of nearly nothing
It seems like my summer is gone! Samuel and I spent the week just hanging out and playing. We didn't have to set any alarm clock all week!
We did some finger painting. Samuel loved it so much, he's asked to do it every night this week!
We went to Conway to see my Aunt Lena and cousin Carla. Carla and her kids are in from Idaho. Samuel really enjoyed playing with all of the different toys. Aunt Lena kept a TON of toys from when her kids were little. She keeps them in the closet under her stairs. Samuel was in Heaven in that toy closet!
Then he went upstairs to play with the big kids and the video games. He had no idea what they were doing, but he really enjoyed watching!
Samuel has really gotten into Toy Story lately, so we got him a Buzz Lightyear and a Woody. They have not left his sight all week. We had a real battle about not taking Buzz to bed(his buttons are so sensitive, I was afraid it'd go off and wake Samuel up.)

The one patch of grass in our backyard that hasn't dried up from this horrible heat needed mowing, so Samuel helped Daddy!

My Little TV-aholic
Samuel really loves to watch TV. Right now he's into Peppa Pig(a cute British cartoon on Nick Jr) and Toy Story. Mom and Dad get so tickled at these pictures of him watching TV, because it was about this age that I really started loving it too.
Look how much he's grown since this picture in January. They are taken at different angles, but you can still seehow much higher his shoulders are on the entertainment center.

My 34th Birthday
Today was my 34th Birthday. It has been a great one!
Friday, my best friends, Paige(right) and Dara(left) took me to a sushi lunch. It was so nice to sit and hang out and just talk and talk.
I got home from lunch to find Samuel doing some "work" on Daddy's office chair.
Casey and Samuel took me to lunch today to celebrate. We went early enough Samuel's loudness didn't disturb many people.
Then we went to get ice cream. Yes, I've seen that top picture with those arms-I'm laying off the ice cream and desserts after today.
Samuel helped me blow out my candles on my birthday cookie.
We did some swimming for a while this afternoon.
My grandpa is in the hospital at Baptist, so my parents came up to visit with him and hang out with us too.
We left Dad at the hospital with Grandpa and came home to open presents. Samuel and Casey got me some scrapbooking stuff. Mom and Dad got me a really nice soup pot and Valerie and Chris got me my very own tool set(I hate having to dig through Casey's super organized set and worrying that I'll forget to put something back.)
Samuel helped. :-)
I'ts been a great birthday. My mid 30s are starting off nicely.

Playing with Friends
My summer is flying past me! I can't figure out where it's gone!
I took care of all of those annual doctor and dentist visits this week as well as some follow up LASIK appointments. Next week is Bible School at my church. Hmmmm....maybe that's where it's gone.
We had some playdates this week. Tuesday afternoon, we met my friend, Jenny and her little guy, Jack Michael at Chik Fil A.
This afternoon, one of my favorite kids of all time came to visit with us. Hannah was one of my 3rd graders at Terry Elem. and was and still is, just an awesome young lady! She goes to eStem now, so her summer is SUPER short, so we snagged one of her few afternoons.
She's a super gymnast and will be in the Olympics someday. I love watching her tumble.
She kept doing hand stands in the water, so Samuel wanted to put his feet in the air like Hannah.
It's been a fun and short week.

The Fourth of July
Today was a low key fourth of July. Casey was my hero and let me sleep late!
Watching Toy Story. Notice the twin positions.
When he woke up from his nap, he wanted to go take a nap in our bed. He loves to roll around on our bed.
Casey bought some of those poppers for Samuel. We tried them Friday--not a success. Today was much better. He had a great time throwing them.
We are wrapping up the day with some hot dogs and an early bed time.
Sunday the 3rd
We had friends over to swim today, since it was so hot! Our friend, Grant, his girlfriend Liz and her 3 kiddos, Bella, Emma, and Russ came over. Another couple we are friends with, Troy and Marci and their 3 kiddos, Reece, Baron, and Autumn.
It was a blast!
After all of the swimming, we ate MANY chicken nuggets and french fries.

I CAN SEE!!!!!!!
Well, the LASIK is done! I was in and out of TLC in about an hour and a half.
My surgeon was Dr. Brown. A phenomenal man. He looked over my info one more time, made a few more adjustments, then did something so comforting. He asked if I would allow him to pray with me. Of course! It was the most comforting thing EVER.
The surgery lasted about 10 minutes, they checked to see if everything was attached and sent me home.
My eyes burned, and I mean really burned, for about 2 hours. I was able to fall asleep finally and when I woke up, they weren't as bad. I put the eye drops in and they got even better. Now they feel fine and just a little dry. I can handle that.
My friend, Shannah, came down to drive me to my follow up appt this morning(Casey had conference calls and watched Samuel for that 30 minutes.) Dr. Brown looked over everything and did a vision test. Today I am seeing 20:30. He said by the end of the week or early next week, I'd probably be 20:20!!!
God is good!
