Field Day 2013

Field Day this year was a success!  Samuel actually ran in the relay and did the tug of war.  A BIG change from last year.  :-)

His class getting settled along the race course to cheer everyone on.

Check out the good mood.  And then...
When they called for the P3 Boys to line up, Samuel got trampled.  He and his buddy, Messiah(in the background), got caught up in the stampede and came away with injuries.  They both needed some consoling and TLC.

Bless his heart.

Coach T explaining the rules.  Samuel was still not sure.

Thank goodness for Mr. Moore. He gave Samuel and piggy back ride all the way around the track. Mr. Tolbert came out to help with the moral support.

We LOVE Mr. Moore.

Oh yeah. I'm injured.

We did some ice pack therapy and snuggling to help him feel better.  It worked.  :-)

The girls did their Tug Of War.   Then the boys.

Lined up for the Relay Race.  Look at the difference between the girls and the boys.  I told the girls to look at me and smile-they did.  I told the boys the exact same thing-this was the best I got.  Seriously.

He RAN!!! I was so proud.  I cheered and cheered.

After all of the events, we headed back up to the playground and had picnics. Every kiddo got a sunhat.  Aren't they cute?

More TBall

TBall has been so fun.  We are about to wrap up the "season" so I wanted to get some memories down.

When we are headed to TBall, Samuel NEVER wants to go.  He cries and tells us he is "too shy" to play.  We embrace bad parenting ideals and bribe him with playtime on the small playground there at the ball fields and an Icee on the way home.  Once he's on the field warming up with the other kids, he decides he loves TBall and really wants to play.  He LOVES batting and running the bases and seems to enjoy playing outfield(I use the term playing lightly-it's really standing around watching the ball roll past everyone.)
