Wretched Stomach Bug

The stomach bug hit our house Thursday night.  It was 6 hours of misery, then several more hours of Phenergan induced sleep.  It hit hard and fast. My poor baby was miserable.

Pumpkin PJs

Carving Pumpkins 2012

Helping Daddy.

Oh man, was he disgusted!!! He really didn't like the pumpkin guts.

Is that funny, or what?

And then the excitement wore off and Daddy got stuck finishing the job.

Admiring Daddy's hard work.

He was trying to blow the candles out.

A weekend filled with cousins

Samuel is blessed to have cousins to play with when we go to Hope and Prescott.

Baby Chase and Samuel with Pop.

Kensley, Tyler, Baby Kannon, Emily, and Samuel

Tow Truck Adventure

This is what I found one afternoon when I went looking for Samuel to see what he'd been up to.

My first reaction was not one that was legal, so I decided to walk away, go get my camera, and laugh.

When we asked him what/why he did this, he calmly replied, "I'm on a tow truck adventure." You could practically hear the "duh" in his voice.

He's nothing if not creative.  :-)

At the Fair

We went to the fair today.  We got there early enough to beat the crowds.  We never had to wait in line for anything.  And we beat the heat.

We rode the standard kiddie rides and he absolutely loved them again this year.

Then we found this ride.  NASCAR for preschoolers.  It was faster than the other kiddie rides and was a BIG  hit.

Look at that face as the car whipped around the loops.

Pure joy.

Then we headed into the petting zoo.

Yep, he kissed that donkey.  Wouldn't you?  Look at that sweet face.

As we were walking around, one of the carnies challenged him to a sword fight.  He got a kick out of it.  The guy really hammed it up for him.  Super funny.

The FFA barns was a hit again this year. They had these boxes filled with corn, soy beans, and rice.  If you found a big checker in the box, you got a really cute book about agriculture in Arkansas.

My least favorite part of the fair-all the carnies yelling at you to play their games.  But Daddy is a sucker and let Samuel play.  Luckily, they almost always love a sweet toddler and let them win something, so the girl let Daddy play against him.  A guaranteed prize.

Then we went back to the rides.  Seriously, look at his face! I don't know if he could have loved it more.

Some ice cream before heading home for a late nap.

You know you love to read...

when you fall asleep with your book on your face.

Allison's Baby Shower

We had a baby shower for one of my favorite co-workers, Allison.  She is one of our building therapists from Pathfinder.  She has a real gift for working with our tougher kiddos who need help.  She is going to get to be a stay at home mommy when Tucker gets here, lucky girl!  She will truly be missed!

Samuel's First Homework

Samuel had his first homework assignment.  He had to bring a poster of things about his family and what he loves to do with him family.

He helped me choose the pictures and some stickers from Michael's that had his favorite things.
