My Big Big Bed

Samuel decided that today was the day to sleep in his Big Big Bed.

Luckily I had these rails assembled and ready to go.  Now to get a bedskirt for that box spring.

He slept like a rock for 2 1/2 hours.

Watermelon and Swimming

Any time is a good time for watermelon.

Throw Me Daddy!!

Samuel has overcome the fear of going under!

Hanging Out in Hope

Since school is out, Samuel and I headed to Hope for a few days.  We rested and played.

That sandbox keeps shrinking.  :-)

Chase watched in wonder. Samuel is definitely a spectacle.

Pop's first tickle-fest.

Samuel loves to ride on Pop.  He's so much taller than Casey or me.

Chase wanted in on the fun.

Bath time for the boys. Look at how different their colors are. My pale kid. :-)

Mom and Dad don't have a toddler bed, so Samuel wanted the mattress on the floor for his bed.

Samuel loves "Baby" Chase!

How could you not? Look at that sweet face!

Samuel clearly said something funny.

Mom and Dad tried to get my old tricycle out of the attic for Samuel, it was too far gone-it has been 30 years, after all..

So my dad's friend, John, brought dad one from his Western Auto store in exchange for Dad's work on his cars.

Again, look at that sweet face!

Taking a Bath in the Pool

One night, we had just checked the chemicals in the pool.  Super low. So before we added any, Samuel talked Daddy into taking a bath in the pool  Yep, Daddy's a sucker.

Fishing with Daddy

Just doing some fishin in the pool.

Playing Outside

Before it became hotter than the surface of the sun, we played out side.  Here's pics from one of our days.

Some golf

Then some basketball.

Jumpy House

 Reading in the shade.

Searching for Muddy Puddles

Samuel has been dying to jump in muddy puddles lately and we all know that's not a possibility in this drought.  But one afternoon, it rained for about 6 minutes and he insisted that we go out to jump in muddy puddles.

He searched and searched for one, but the ground had soaked up the rain too quickly.  Daddy got smart and dumped the water from the wagon into a hole and created a muddy puddle!  Yay Daddy!!

He got 3 good jumps in before the water was all gone.

Shower Bath and the Last Bottle

Since Samuel's discovery of the shower, we've only taken showers.  But now they've morphed into shower-baths.  Get in Mommy's tub, put the stopper down and fill the tub with bubbles(showers make WAY better bubbles, apparently.)

Tonight was another milestone.  We used the last bottle of Johnson & Johnson baby bath we got for gifts when he was born.  At one point, it took up almost an entire shelf in our bathroom closet and tonight, it's gone.

Thanks to a little boy who wanted more bubbles.  We had just gotten out the last bottle yesterday and talked about how blessed we were.  We even had the nerve to talk about how long each of those big bottles seemed to last. :-)

But man, those bubbles were fun!
