Under My Umbrella

Casey got Samuel an umbrella Friday.  He is in love with it!

We played in the rain Friday afternoon.

Bouncy House

Easter

A healthy breakfast of powdered donuts before church. :-) Take a good look at those plaid shorts.  This is the last time you'll see them-we had a potty accident by 9am and had to wear back up shorts.

After church and naptime, we had our own Easter Egg hunt in the yard.  Samuel was much more excited about this one.

After he found all of his eggs, he wanted Casey to hide more, so Casey got creative with our fun duct tape.

Samuel's Easter Basket

We don't make a big deal of Easter baskets.  There are enough gift giving occasions already.  :-)

Some Silly Time

Samuel was especially animated last weekend, and actually wanted to take some pictures.  Little ham!

Look how skinny!

Eggs to Dye For

We dyed eggs Saturday after the egg hunt and nap time.

Dyeing eggs isn't an activity for the faint of heart.  It is messy!  I had a hard time letting Samuel actually do anything because I was so worried about the mess.  Next year, if the weather is good, we are doing it outside.

I have no idea what happened to my picture of the colored eggs, but they turned out so pretty!

Church Easter Egg Hunt

Saturday the 8th was our church Easter Egg hunt. We have it at Walnut Valley Park.  The families can park up at our church or over at Access Schools and ride the shuttle down to the park.  There are TONS of kids.  They divide the park into areas for babies and tiny toddlers, 2s3s&4s, K & 1st grade, 2nd & 3rd grade and then the 4th and 5th graders hide the eggs.

Samuel was ready to go!

While we waited for them to let them hunt, he got a little silly with his bucket.  :-)

Some of the sweet kiddos in Samuel's class and the class I teach.

Then the hunt was on!!

And just as quickly, it was over.  He had no time for silly eggs.  There were toys to play on!

And cookies to be eaten!

Then we rode the shuttle back to the car.  He was more excited about riding the bus than the egg hunting. :-)
