Spring Break--Thursday

Thursday, Samuel and I went to Conway to my friend, Shannon's house to scrapbook with her and Shannah.  Shannon's oldest daughter, Casey helped me watch Samuel and keep him from destroying their home.

They had a big fenced in backyard with a fun swing/slide set.  Samuel ran around all day like he had been dropped straight into heaven.

That's Shannon in the turquoise and Shannah in the pink.   They are scrapbook masters!  I am striving to be like them.

After Casey left, Shannon let Samuel scrapbook.  She let him play with a scrap piece and a hole punch. He didn't care for it.  Casey is so proud.

After we got home, I fed Casey and Samuel and then headed out to have Julie's birthday dinner.  We went to Dizzy's.  So delicious!

Spring Break-Coming Home

We headed back to LR Wednesday.  Casey surprised him with some new backyard toys.

Spring Break-Mon and Tues

More fun with Pop and Gran.

Super Cowboy!!

We found some of his little stubborn pieces that needed some more attention.

Shhh!  Don't tell Casey he was playing with dolls.

Spring Break-Sat evening and Sunday

After a fun time at the Hendrix house, we headed to Hope to my mom and dad's house for lots of Pop and Gran time.

Sunday night, Aunt Val came and gave him a super short hair cut.  He was so good while she used the clippers.  I like his short hair.  I don't even have to comb it.  :-)

Look at that white tummy. He's definitely my kid.

Spring Break Part 1

Spring Break this year has been so fun. We spent the first part of it in Prescott with MawMaw and PawPaw.

Samuel always has so much fun over there playing with all of the cousins and outside toys.

He loves to jump on the trampoline.  Look at the long staticky hair!

Tyler helped him play basketball.

This is Emily's car.  At Christmas, his feet wouldn't reach the pedals.  We had to use a stick to push them while he steered.

Now he's a Road Warrior!

We are looking for a swing set for our backyard.  Casey's pretty picky about what he wants, so it may be a while.  :-)

He and PawPaw went to feed the cows.

Giving MawMaw some flowers.

Cousins: Emily, Tyler, Samuel, Kensley

The whole crew.  Casey didn't know how to zoom in, I guess.

I'm gonna have to learn about sports

Anyone who knows anything about me will tell you that I don't have ANY athletic ability AT ALL.  none.

I'm pretty sure I'm going to be a sports mom. Casey loves sports, my dad loves sports, Valerie was pretty good at softball, my sister in law was on a state finalist basketball team.

Crap. Who wants to help tutor me?

Or can I take a book and just read while he plays.

Happy St Patrick's Day

First of all, look at that hair.  That's the longest I've ever let it get.  Valerie will be cutting it this week. We are headed to Hope for a few days of our Spring Break.

Second, do you know how hard it is to buy clothing ahead of time for Arkansas toddlers?  Last year, he had the cutest St. Patrick's Day shirt that my Mother in Law got him.  It was short sleeved and the weather was cold.  So this year, I got a long sleeved one.  80 degrees.

So after  nearly melting at school, we came home and changed.  I have a friend who gives us some fun hand me downs and we decided this shirt was silly enough to become a cut off shirt.  Samuel has his first sleeveless work shirt.

He was showing us his muscles.

See Casey's shirt.  I feel like I'll be cutting out sleeves again.

Have you even met one of those ladies that affected the rest of your life?  Dr. Bandre is one of those ladies for me.  She was my professor in grad school.  I would venture to say that's she's probably the smartest lady I'll ever meet.  She is, not only intelligent and has a heart for children and reading, but she's also a really good person.

Julie and I got to have dinner with her and her little sister, Emily, last night.  It was just so much fun to get to visit with her and catch up.

Dr. Bandre is the pretty, tall one and her sister, Emily, is the cute blonde.

Bossy Little Stinker

When I went to pick Samuel up from daycare today, all the kiddos were sitting in a circle listening to Ms. Jahta read a story to them.

One of the little guys started moving around and getting restless, so Ms. Jahta snapped her fingers to get his atttention and not stop reading.  He promptly sat down.

Then my bossy little guy turned and "snapped" his fingers at the same kiddo and told him to "sit, sit."

He's a lot like me. :-)

Easter Pail

Samuel's Easter Pail came in!  Isn't it the cutest thing?

I ordered it from IfYouSaySewGifts.com. I've ordered tons from them. Halloween shirts, Birthday Shirts, Halloween pail, Christmas clothes.

When or if we have another kiddo, I'll order a matching Halloween and Easter pail for him/her.

Chik Fil A again.

After last week's playtime at Chik Fil A, Samuel has asked to go every afternoon. I held off til Friday.  I called Casey so he could come watch the fun.

We had the place to ourselves and I was delighted.  Until...

Samuel didn't want to play.

He went up the big fort and came down the slide one time.

Thank goodness I got a picture of it.

He spent the majority of his time sitting here.

So glad I called Casey.  He probably thinks I'm nuts now.  :-)
